Unleashed
Privacy-First Social (Discontinued)

A PWA social network experiment focused on privacy-first interaction — discontinued due to running costs.
// 01 — Context
Unleashed was a social platform built as a Progressive Web App. The idea was simple: social media without the tracking, without the algorithmic manipulation, without selling your data. Just people connecting with people.
// 02 — Problem
Every major social platform monetizes user data.
Privacy settings are buried, algorithms decide what you see, and opting out means opting out of the platform entirely. There's no middle ground.
// 03 — How I Built It
A PWA with zero-tracking architecture and end-to-end encryption. No algorithmic feed — you see posts chronologically from people you actually follow. Built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on the frontend, Supabase and Clerk on the backend.
What Makes It Special
Progressive Web App
Zero-Tracking Architecture
End-to-End Encrypted Messaging
Chronological Feed (No Algorithm)
Privacy-First by Design
// 04 — Outcome
The platform worked and proved the concept, but the infrastructure costs were too high to sustain as a solo project.
It's been shut down, but the lessons learned about privacy-first architecture carry forward into every project I build.
